Challenge: Built across the street from existing site. Operational challenges in maintaining access to critical services which were not moving into the new facility, and appropriate use of connecting tunnel.

Result: Within five hours, successfully moved 192 patients to the new hospital through a quarter-mile connecting tunnel.

Challenge: Balancing the many concurrent initiatives in a large system which competed with the building project for administrative attention and resources.

Result: Client praised FDI for sensitivity to the cultural shifts and stresses on an organization and its employees created by large moves.

The Children’s Hospital
